CALL FOR PAPERS

International Conference on Literature (2018) is a premier platform for the presentation of novel and creative research results in the field of literature. The main theme for this conference is “Contemporary perspectives on/in postcolonial and diasporic literature and theory”.

We believe the conference theme is broad enough to cover wide range of issues discussed in the field of post-colonial studies and diaspora studies such as racial and gendered discourses, new forms of colonization in the emerging nation states, ideological contradictions, resistance and power structure, among many others.

Our main aim is to recognize the variety of contemporary perspectives and practices in postcolonial and diasporic literature and theory as well as to revisit the ‘classic’ issues to interrogate them. We welcome a variety of approaches and viewpoints, and the generation of wide-ranging, productive debates. Thus we are particularly interested in interdisciplinary and/or cross-cultural proposals.

We invite proposals for submission in areas such as:

Postcolonial and Diasporic Studies: Where Were We? Where Are We? Where To Now?
Global South and Diasporic Studies
Issues of Subjectivity
Region, Religion, Politics, and Culture
Race, Racism, Class, Gender, Sexuality, and Ethnicity
Rethinking the Family, Sex, and Gender
Migration, Diaspora, Hybridity, and Borders
Bioethics, Ecology, Ecocriticism, Health, and Wellness
War, Violence and Terror
Or any other aspect of postcolonial and diasporic literary studies

PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITY

Selected high-quality, original submissions will be published as an edited volume in a prestigious publisher or in a well reputed literary journal indexed in Scopus and ESCI (WoS).
